The Nguru Program provides culturally appropriate support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members who have been impacted by sexual violence, and their families.
Our approach is holistic and family centred. We walk alongside community members as they assess their circumstances, make choices, and plan for the future. Support is provided through individual sessions, and group sessions where appropriate.
Nguru has developed a number of resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and their supporters:
The Nguru Program is accessed through the CRCC phone line. When you call, a crisis counsellor will listen, gather some information, and connect you with the Nguru program.
