Schools & Teachers
CRCC delivers workshops for students and professional development for educators. Our school programs are designed to tackle challenging but critical topics – including consent, sexual violence, healthy relationships, online safety, and supporting peers who disclose harm.
All sessions are interactive, age-appropriate, and delivered in a trauma-informed way that prioritises the safety and wellbeing of students and staff. A school educator must be present throughout all student sessions.
For Students
The following workshops are available for students. Sessions can be tailored to suit year level, school context, and specific curriculum needs.
Healthy Relationships and Consent
These workshops aim to build confidence, language, and critical thinking skills to support participants in navigating relationships and supporting others to do the same. Participants will develop the knowledge and skills to understand, define, and practice affirmative consent effectively in all aspects of life, including sexual interactions.
This training focuses on empowering young people with the knowledge and tools to recognise healthy and unhealthy relationships, practice affirmative consent, and challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours that can contribute to gender-based violence.
Learning outcomes:
- Describe the key features of healthy and unhealthy relationships, including respect, communication, boundaries, and equality.
- Explain what affirmative consent means, why it is important, and when a person cannot legally or ethically give consent.
- Identify patterns of power and control and describe how harmful attitudes and behaviours can contribute to sexual violence and gender-based violence.
- Demonstrate how to communicate consent clearly and respond respectfully in everyday and intimate situations.
- Outline available support options, reporting pathways, and self-care strategies for themselves or others affected by sexual harm.

For Teachers and School Staff
The following professional development workshops are available for teachers, school counsellors, and school leadership. These sessions equip educators with the skills and confidence to respond to disclosures, support students, and create safer school environments.
Responding to Disclosures of Sexual Violence
This interactive session equips attendees to provide supportive, appropriate responses to disclosures of sexual violence. Participants will develop an understanding of the prevalence and impacts of sexual violence, learn to recognise and challenge unconscious biases, and build practical skills and considerations for the management of risk.
This training focuses on communication skills and trauma-informed, survivor-centred responses drawing on the World Health Organisation’s LIVES Framework for responding to survivors of sexual violence.
Learning outcomes
Following completion of the training participants will
- Identify behaviours that constitute sexual violence and describe the social factors that contribute to them.
- Describe the prevalence rates of sexual violence among diverse and intersecting identities.
- Describe the short and long-term impacts of sexual violence and trauma on individuals, families, and communities.
- Identify and explain common barriers including myths, biases and structural factors that prevent victim-survivors from disclosing, reporting, or seeking support.
- Apply a trauma-informed response framework and demonstrate supportive responses to disclosures, grounded in the principles of safety, choice, trust, and empowerment.
- Identify local referral pathways and support services for victim-survivors and their supporters.
Who this training is for
This training is designed for professionals and community members who may receive disclosures of sexual violence, including:
- Managers, supervisors, organisational leaders and those preparing for such roles.
- Educators and staff working in schools, tertiary settings and training organisations
- Staff and volunteers in community organisations including sporting coaches and club leaders
- Social workers, lawyers, legal advisors and allied professionals
- Anyone in a position of trust who wants to respond to disclosures in a safe, respectful, and trauma‑informed way
Problematic and Harmful Sexual Behaviours
This training builds participants’ confidence in identifying and responding to problematic and harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB) in children and young people. Relevant for educators and school staff working directly with young people.

Fees – Schools
We are committed to ensuring education and training on sexual violence prevention and survivor support is accessible to all audiences and should not be restricted by financial barriers. If your organisation is unable to meet the costs associated with our training, we have some funds available to reduce or waive training fees where appropriate.
