Services

The Canberra Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC) is a non-government, feminist organisation working to eliminate sexual violence against women, young people, children, and men. CRCC is committed to excellence in service provision, access and equity, diversity and social justice.

CRCC provides the following services to survivors of sexual violence and their support people:

  • Confidential counselling and support for women, men, children and young people who have experienced any form of sexual assault recently or in the past
  • Advocacy and information
  • 24 hour crisis service and phone line
  • Information and support through all legal and medical processes, including court preparation and reporting to police
  • Face to face counselling services
  • Referral to relevant agencies, services and government departments
  • Limited support for family and friends
  • Education workshops for schools, organisations and the community
  • Support and therapy groups for survivors of sexual assault
  • A free community library service
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Support and Community Education Program – Nguru
  • Dedicated Men’s Service – SAMSSA
